Across hundreds of reviews, the Cosori Iconic consistently earns praise for being easy to clean, with many highlighting that the basket goes right in the dishwasher. Users love that it cooks food evenly and crispy, especially frozen foods and fries, and many say it's become a daily kitchen workhorse, with comments like use it every day coming up repeatedly. The detachable, dishwasher-safe basket design is called out as genuinely differentiating, with one user noting pull it out, push a button, lift up the basket and dump as a standout convenience.
Not everything is perfect, though. A number of users report the non-stick coating peeling or wearing off over time, and some note that replacement trays or baskets aren't sold, which is frustrating when issues arise. There's also a serious recurring concern around a safety recall related to a wire fire hazard, which some describe as a difficult process to navigate. A smaller subset mention units that stopped working after a year or two, though customer service often stepped in with replacements.
This air fryer seems best suited for households cooking regularly for a few people, with several noting the basket is plenty big without taking up too much space, fitting nicely under counters. Some larger families do wish it were bigger or had a second basket or more capacity to cook multiple dishes at once. Others appreciate that a single basket setup keeps things simple for everyday one-and-done meals like crispy toast or quick weeknight dinners.
On value, users frequently describe Cosori as hitting a sweet spot between quality and affordability, with remarks like hits the sweet spot when it comes to value and praise for the brand generally making quality, affordable models. Longevity stories back this up, with people reporting units still going strong after three, five, even ten years of regular use, which many feel more than justifies the price.
A recurring standout theme is how many users have become loyal, repeat Cosori buyers, with phrases like Cosori all the way and comparisons favoring it over Ninja or Philips models. Customer service also gets consistent praise, with several describing free replacements for defective units or melted parts handled generously. A few users do note a learning curve or clunky touch controls, but these are minor compared to the overwhelming enthusiasm for the brand.
