The ieGeek ZS-GX5S is a solar-powered wireless outdoor camera with color night vision via built-in spotlight — full-color footage after dark rather than grainy infrared monochrome. The dual-antenna WiFi design improves signal stability at extended distances from the router compared to single-antenna cameras.
AI person and vehicle detection reduces false alerts from animals and environmental movement, and the two-way audio with siren function adds an active deterrent layer. No monthly subscription is required for local SD card storage.
Solar charging performance varies significantly by sun exposure — north-facing installations or heavily shaded locations may struggle to maintain battery charge through extended overcast periods. A practical wire-free pick for homeowners who want color night footage and active deterrence from a solar-powered camera at accessible pricing.
