The Ninja Crispi Glass Air Fryer has won over many fans primarily for its glass cooking vessel, which users consistently highlight as a major advantage over traditional air fryers. Reviewers love that it allows them to watch the food as it cooks, and the fact that it cooks in glass as opposed to teflon, with the nonstick tray being PFAS free, makes it a draw for health-conscious cooks. Many describe it as a healthiest solution and a less toxic option in the air fryer market.
Cleanup is another standout strength that users mention repeatedly. The glass bowl is much easier to clean than plastic or coated alternatives, with many saying it's a matter of a quick rinse. Users also appreciate that the containers can be thrown in the dishwasher, and the system conveniently allows for prepping, cooking, and storing all in one container, with lids that are great for storing leftovers in the fridge.
On the cooking performance side, results are mixed. Many users report success with items like Costco fries, carrots, English muffins, and whole chicken, fish filets and chicken breasts, and several note it never dries out reheated food. However, a vocal group finds it difficult to get things crispy, with some food coming out slightly soggy, and one user noting the glass version doesn't crisp things as well as standard air fryers.
A recurring frustration is the lack of manual temperature control. Multiple users complain that you can't adjust the temperature, with preset modes that don't always suit every dish. Some also flag inconsistency, noting that temperature varies wildly, and there are reports of thighs that did not thoroughly cook even after close to an hour. A smaller number of users raised safety concerns, including hot air coming out the back right over the cord and worries about the glass shattering, though others report no shattering after daily use for over a year.
The Crispi Glass is best suited for solo users or small households who prioritize non-toxic materials, easy cleanup, and compact storage over raw cooking power. Users highlight its small footprint, portability, and versatility, and appreciate not needing to have it on the counter all the time. That said, those cooking for larger groups may find the capacity tiny and may want to consider the Pro model, as one user noted they wish they bought the Pro for more space.
On value, opinions are divided. Some feel it is overpriced for what it offers, with one calling it little more than an overpriced turbo broiler. Others, however, call it 100% worth the money and say it has become their go-to appliance used many times a week, with one enthusiastic owner saying they loved theirs so much they bought two.
