Owners consistently highlight the Brio Plus 8Qt's large capacity and performance, noting it has a big basket that heats fast and cooks consistently while feeling sturdy rather than cheap. Several reviewers went as far as calling it the best air fryer they've ever owned, and others were impressed with their very first meal, finding it far superior to using an oven. The versatility also stands out, with one user praising the gazillion functions including grill and dehydrator modes, even preferring the air fried wings to traditionally fried ones.
That said, not every experience was smooth. Some buyers reported that it dries out the outer surface of food, gets messy, runs loud, and eventually broke. Others dealt with practical annoyances like grease splatters that were difficult to clean and produced smoke after a while, a shelf that showed a lot of wear over time, and a unit that set off smoke alarms all the time.
For those cooking larger portions, this model seems especially well suited, with one reviewer noting they could cook for 4 to 6 people without doing multiple batches, calling its real-world performance excellent and a genuine time-saver. The easy-to-clean basket setup mentioned by another user also suggests it fits well into regular, frequent use rather than occasional cooking.
Overall sentiment toward the brand and this model leans positive, with users saying things like I love this one and describing themselves as someone who would use them all the time. Another simply summed up their satisfaction by saying Nuwave is pretty good, while a different reviewer said they were pretty happy with mine overall.
Cleaning experiences were mixed across reviews, with one person appreciating the easy to clean basket setup even as others struggled with grease buildup and mess, suggesting maintenance ease may vary by cooking style and food type.
