The Sebo Dart has earned a devoted following among vacuum enthusiasts, with many users saying they never thought they'd get excited about a vacuum before owning one. Reviewers consistently praise it as an excellent machine with strong suction and great build quality, and many note that the motor is protected from harmful debris. Users also appreciate how easy it is to get the brush roll out for maintenance.
That said, weight and maneuverability are recurring concerns. Several users found the Dart too heavy and hard to maneuver, and some noted it can feel top heavy or handle-heavy, particularly for elderly users. A handful of reviewers also reported plastic parts breaking or suspected they received a bad batch, and one user flagged an issue where only the brush motor was engaging with no sound from the vacuum cleaner.
The Dart performs best for everyday floor cleaning, with users noting it works well picking up dust and pet hair, though it may fall short when tackling larger debris. Its lower profile can also be a limitation in some homes, as at least one user found it doesn't fit under certain bed frames.
From a value standpoint, the Sebo Dart stands out for its long-term cost of ownership. Users highlight that replacement parts are significantly cheaper and easily available, and filters are noted to be cheaper than Miele's. The fact that the unit can come apart and be repaired adds further appeal for buyers thinking long-term.
Compared to competing brands, users repeatedly describe Sebo as more solid and better designed, with noticeably better airflow and a much longer warranty. The consensus is that Sebo will last you a long time, making it a compelling choice for those willing to invest in a durable, serviceable machine.
